Season two with the Cats saw ChadTredaway lead the team to another post-season berth.  The Cats won the first half division title with a 30-18 record.  After finishing the season at 53-43, the Cats were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Pensacola.

In his first season as manager of the Cats, Tredaway led the team to a first-place finish in both halves and tied eventual-champion Sioux Falls for the most wins in the league with 60. Although the team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, the team came within two wins of it's fourth straight championship series appearance.

He was Baseball America’s top independent league manager in 2001 and was named the Cats' manager and director of player personnel on Oct. 16, 2007.

Prior to last season, Tredaway, 37, last managed in 2004 with the Edinburg Roadrunners in the Central Baseball League. He guided the Roadrunners to championships in 2001 and 2004. Edinburg made the playoffs in all four years of Tredaway’s tenure. He was the Central League’s Manager of the Year four times from 2001-04.

In 2001, Baseball America selected Tredaway as independent baseball’s top manager after his club posted a 64-32 record. In 2004, the Roadrunners finished with a 68-27 record en route to the Central League title.

From 2006-2007, Tredaway served as the director of baseball operations for the Coastal Bend Aviators in the American Association while at the same time running the family business.  He has two sons- Tanner, who will turn 11 this summer, and Tayten, who will be 9 this summer.
