The heavy hitting, lefty first baseman will once again add power to the middle of the ‘Bags lineup in 2011. Entering his second year on the team, Kevin has the talent to do anything he puts his mind to on a baseball field. He possesses a rifle for arm and the ability to hit for power to the opposite field.
In addition to his dangerous bat and solid defense at first base, Kevin will also see time in the outfield and on the mound. With possibly the best pure stuff on the team, the hard throwing Southpaw balances his above average fastball with a healthy mix of sharp breaking stuff.
When he’s not wearing the Dirtbags’ orange and black, Kevin plays collegiate ball for the Mount St. Vincent Dolphins. In his freshman season for MSV, Kevin was one of the top rookies in the Skyline Conference, hitting .330 in 33 games. Batting in the middle of the order, he racked up 8 doubles, a triple, 2 home runs, and knocked in 23 runs. He also became the first player in the team’s history to hit for the cycle.
Kevin is a great teammate and will be a player to watch this season as he continues to mature as a ballplayer.
