Chad Gabriel returns for his second season playing outfield with the AirHogs and third in the American Association. Last season Gabriel hit .316, second highest on the team, with nine home runs and 60 RBIs.

Gabriel was selected by St. Louis Cardinals in 20th Round of  the 2004 MLB draft and stayed in the Cardinals organization for three years, reaching the Single-A level ball with Johnson City of the Appalachian League in 2006.

The past three seasons, Gabriel has played independent baseball. In 2008, Gabriel made his first American Association appearance with Sioux City, where he batted .308 with 18 doubles.
