Drafted by the Rangers in the 21st round out of Arizona State University..Assigned to Spokane of the Northwest League, rookie affiliate of the Rangers, where he made his professional debut on 6/24/08…Went 2-0 with three saves and a 1.48 ERA in 17 relief appearances…Allowed just two earned runs in his first 19.0 professional innings…Allowed just four earned runs in 24.1 innings…Struck out 20 batters and walked just six as held batters to a .180 average against.
