A 6’0”, 175 pound native of Glendale, California, Kauppila earned All-West Coast Conference Honorable Mention and landed on the conference’s All-Freshman Team a year ago after leading the Pilots with 48 runs, 72 hits, and 20 doubles. He also hit .336, belted four home runs, drove in 21, and stole eight bases. Kauppila hit a home run in his first collegiate at-bat in the team’s first at-bat of the season against Utah Valley.
