Spiers returns for his second season with the AirHogs after joining the team late last season. In nine games with Grand Prairie, Spiers hit .350 with 5 stolen bases and 4 RBIs.

Spiers joined the Atlanta Braves organization undrafted in 2007, playing rookie level ball. In his single season stint in the Braves organization Spiers hit .225 with 9 stolen bases.

His collegiate career was split between the University of Hawaii and San Diego State University, finishing his time with the SDSU Aztecs in 2007. That season he gave his top performance, hitting .328 with 14 stolen bases and 19 RBIs.

Spiers also spent time in the Cape Cod League in the summer of 2006.
