Stoddard is the third of a trio of pitchers that returns to the Schooners for a second season in 2013. Last season in Mystic, Stoddard stepped up as a starter by a recording a 4.70 ERA, the lowest among the starting pitchers. He went 1-2 in 28.2 innings, while striking out 27 and walking just 14 batters.

Becoming a full-time starter in his sophomore season in 2013, Stoddard lead the Pioneers in ERA qualifiers with a 2.47 ERA. In 10 starts on the seasons, Stoddard lead the team in wins with 8, going 8-3 in 78.1 innings. He struck out 48 batters compared to just 16 on the way to the Northeast Conference championship game.

As a freshman in 2012, Stoddard appeared in 16 games, starting just 3. He went 1-3 with a 7.57 ERA while striking out 26 batters and walking 17 in 35.2 innings. He allowed just 1 home run all season long. At Branford, Stoddard won a state championship while earning first-team all-state, New Haven Register all-area MVP, CHSCA All-Star, all-SCC and American Legion State Tournament MVP.
