2012: Kipper comes from Central Arizona College, where he had a stellar freshman campaign. In 15 games, 14 starts, he tied the team-lead in wins with nine and went 9-3 with a 2.78 ERA. He threw 90.2 innings and gave up 75 hits, 42 runs (28 earned) and struck out 76 to 20 walks. He threw five complete games, good for second-best on the squad and one shutout.

2009 Perfect Game scouting report: On the mound he pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot, very short arm action with good arm speed, projectable frame with some room to fill out, curve ball has 11-to-5 spin with some good bite.
