Mike makes his Atlantic League debut during his sixth year of professional baseball. Last season, the lefthander split time between Double-A New Britain and Triple-A Rochester of the Minnesota Twins organization. In 28 combined appearances, he posted a 3-0 record with a 3.86 ERA, one save, and 26 strikeouts over the course of 35 innings pitched.

The Danbury, Connecticut native was originally drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 12th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He has reached as high as the Triple-A level last year and his best professional season came in 2009 with when he split time between Single-A Beloit and Single-A Fort Myers. In 23 games (16 starts) the 25-year-old recorded a 3.23 ERA with 98 strikeouts and won a career-best seven games. In 120 career minor league appearances, he owns a 26-28 record with a 4.15 ERA and 366 strikeouts in 249 innings of work.
