Appeared in 18 games for the Division I Stags of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) as a freshman in 2012, starting four of them…went 1-0 with a 5.61 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 33.2 innings of work…was a three year letter-winner at Colonie Central High School…earned the Times Union Athlete of the Year award and was also a two-time Times Union All-Area First Team selection…finished with five homers, 30 RBI, and a .403 batting average at the plate during his final season, while going 8-0 on the mound with a 1.83 ERA and 68 strikeouts…was picked as Colonie's Most Valuable Pitcher in 2009, 2010, and 2011…helped his team to a Suburban Council Championship during his junior and senior seasons.
