Iowa junior left-handed pitcher Kyle Heim returns as the team's most experienced bullpen arm after throwing 43.1 innings and finishing with a 4.36 ERA and 4-2 record last summer. He tied Jansen's team-high 43 strikeouts while throwing 13 less innings. Before July 25 Heim gave up more than one earned run only once in 17 appearances. As of May 16 Heim was 0-1 in 8.2 innings of work over 13 appearances.
