Austin Davis joins Sioux City after playing 88 games for Rocky Mountain in the Pioneer League, where he hit .328 with 10 home runs, 49 RBI, and led the club with 49 stolen bases in 2024. He scored 87 runs and finished second on the team with 27 doubles. Davis made his professional debut in 2023 with the Ottawa Titans of the Frontier League, hitting .288 in 43 games with one homer and 12 RBI and leading the team with 19 stolen bases.
The Orlando, Florida native spent five years playing collegiately, starting at the University of West Virginia from 2019 to 2022 and finishing at Texas Christian University in 2023. Davis played in all 68 games at TCU, hitting .283 with nine home runs, 57 RBI, and 22 stolen bases. He stood out in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional and Fort Worth Super Regional, helping TCU reach the College World Series.
In four seasons at West Virginia, Davis hit .313 with 162 hits, 25 doubles, and five home runs. He was named First Team All-Big 12 in 2022 after hitting .330 with four home runs and 26 RBI. Davis also excelled academically, making the Academic All-Big 12 First Team for two straight seasons.
