Left-handed pitcher Chase Jessee, a native of Mansfield, Ohio, joins the American Association after two seasons in the Pioneer League with the Northern Colorado Owls. In 2024, Jessee went 9-6 in 19 games, making 17 starts with a 5.42 ERA. He threw 103 innings with 109 strikeouts, finishing second in the league in innings pitched and leading Northern Colorado in wins. In 2023, Jessee made his professional debut, pitching 81 innings with a 2-2 record and a 6.33 ERA. Over two seasons, he went 11-8 with a 5.82 ERA in 184 innings, striking out 194.

Jessee spent his last two college seasons at Malone University after starting at Urbana University. In 2022, he appeared in 12 games, going 1-4 with a 6.32 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 37 innings. In 2021, he had a 13.25 ERA in 18.1 innings. Jessee played three seasons at Urbana University, with limited action in 2020 due to the pandemic.
