Michael Reed returns to Alexandria for a second summer with the Beetles in 2012. The Houston, Texas native appeared in 12 games for the Beetles in 2011. In 11 starts Reed was very solid, going 5-2 with a 4.08 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 64 innings pitched. Reed appeared in 11 games for the LSU Tigers in 2010 as a true freshman. In his 20 innings pitched he recorded 13 strikeouts for the Tigers with no decisions. Reed redshirted in 2011 and has made 3 appearances so far in the 2012. Reed is a Sport Administration major at LSU.
