Mercer is joining the Rafters after his freshman season at UC-Santa Barbara. The promising right-hander earned all-league honors twice at Agoura High School before becoming a Gaucho. Mercer posted a 2.76 ERA with 75 strike-outs over 72 innings his senior year. Over his last two high school seasons Mercer struck out 135 batters in 110 innings.
