As a junior at division one Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Ala…Diaz threw a team high 73.1 innings in 16 appearances and 11 starts for the Bulldogs while he was 3-7 on the year with an 8.59 ERA while striking out 34 batters…In his sophomore season, Diaz appeared in 14 games, starting just two of them while throwing 23 innings, struck out 15 batters and had an ERA of 12.52…In his freshman season for Alabama A&M, Diaz appeared in 16 games, starting seven of those games and throwing 49.1 innings with an ERA of 8.94 while striking out 31 batters…It’s clear that so far in his three seasons with the Bulldogs, they have heavily relied on Diaz.
