Wild is a hard-throwing right-hander who comes to the Bears after spending the better part of the last four seasons with the Seattle Mariners’ organization. Wild was selected by Seattle in the 26th round of the 2006 MLB Draft out of Pacific University, where he pitched for two seasons. Wild’s best season in pro ball came in 2009, when he was a starter for High Desert in the Class A California League, posting a 6-8 record with a 4.09 ERA in 34 games, 20 of which were starts. He returned to High Desert to start the 2010 season, winning six more games and earning a promotion to Class AA West Tennessee in the Southern League. Has shown durability throughout his pro career, pitching 132 innings in 2009 and 112 in 2010.
