Rand Ravnaas is an outfielder for Georgetown University. In 2011, Ravnaas hit for a .360 average in 200 plate appearances. In his 50 game appearances, he started in all of them, Ravnaas collected 72 hits and scored 36 runs. 24 of his hits were for extra bases (18 doubles, two triples and five home runs). A major threat on the bases, Ravnaas had 22 stolen bases in 26 attempts.
In his sophomore year, Ravnaas led the team in batting average with .347, hits (66), slugging percentage (.626), home runs (11) and total bases (119). He had 20 multi-hit games and ended the season on a eight game hitting streak. In his freshman year, Ravnaas had a .244 batting average with two doubles, one triple, one home run, 12 runs scored and nine RBIs.
During his high school career at All Saints Episcopal School, Ravnass started on the varsity baseball team all four years. He earned Team MVP and All-Southwest Preparatory Conference honors after his junior and senior year. During his senior year, Ravnaas was named to the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram Private School All-Area Team and won the All Saints Hall of Fame award.
