Saw action with the Monarchs last season appearing in nine innings with nine strikeouts.

Played summer ball for Webster Yankees in 2009 New York Collegiate Baseball League. There Scott captured a 2-1 record with 24 strikeouts and 2.13 ERA in 25.1 innings of work. 

Played 2006-07 summers for Novi Heat in Novi Youth Baseball League with a 13-6 record, 191 strikeouts, and 1.75 ERA in 140 innings of work.

Scott prepped at Novi High School where he was a three-year letterwinner.  Earned first-team all-conference three times. He was named team’s best pitcher three straight years. Finished 7-5 with 67 strikeouts and 3.11 ERA in 63.0 innings of work as a senior, earning second-team all-state, second-team all-county and first-team all-district recognition. Scot was rated among the top 20 players in Metro Detroit. Made a 5-2 mark with 53 strikeouts in 55.0 innings of work and 4.61 ERA as a junior. He is credited with a shutout and one-hit, complete-game effort.
