Previous Career: Originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 34th round of the 2006 MLB Draft. Spent 10 total season in affiliated ball, 8 with the Cubs organization, 1 with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and 1 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, reaching as high as AAA. Joined Sioux City in 2016 playing in 100 games with the Explorers and posting a .350 avg with 6 homeruns and 68 RBI's.


Personal/Amateur: Nathan Richard Samson. Born August 19th, 1987 in Ocala, Florida. Attended Forest High School in Ocala prior to his drafting in 2006.
