Dave LaPoint returns to the Boulders for his second year as team manager. During the inaugural 2011 season, he led the team to a 40-52 record. LaPoint comes to Rockland from the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, where he has been for the past nine years. He served as the manger of the Long Island Ducks in the Atlantic League last season, and guided his team to a 70-68 record for a 3rd place finish in the Liberty Division. He started in the ALPB in 2002 with the Ducks as their pitching coach up until 2005. LaPoint got his first managerial position with the Bridgeport Bluefish (ALPB) in 2006. Prior, he worked as the AA pitching coach for the Springfield Cardinals from 2000-01 in the St. Louis Cardinals� farm system. The lefthander went 13-19 with a 4.87 ERA in 48 games for the New York Yankees from 1988-91. He won a World Series in 1982 as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He registered 80 wins and had a 4.02 career ERA with 227 starts at the Major League level.
