Former Thornton Academy pitcher and Assumption first year Ben Lambert had an immediate effect for the Greyhound pitching staff in his first collegiate season. The right-handed hometown Mainer made 11 appearances on the mound his freshman year, starting in five games and holding a 5.15 ERA through 36.2 innings. From Saco, Maine, Lambert’s trip to Goodall Park may be the shortest of all Mainers. One of four siblings, Lambert brings great numbers to the Moose pitching staff, and his potential to be a breakout pitcher could very well start in Sanford.
