J.T. Scara returns to the Gary SouthShore RailCats in 2017 for his second straight season as the team’s third base coach. Scara previously served as the Windy City Thunderbolts (Frontier League) bullpen coach for two seasons and was an assistant coach at McKendree University and Robert Morris University-Chicago. A native of New Lenox, Ill., Scara played collegiately at Moraine Valley Community College, Rockford College and Robert Morris University-Chicago.
