Ben Porter (Columbia) collected three hits, sparking the Brockton Rox (1-3) to a 7-2 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (2-1) on Sunday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Cory Poplawski (Salve Regina) got the win for the Brockton Rox thanks to three strikeouts. Poplawski allowed one earned run, four hits and no walks over five innings.

Despite the loss, the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' Dylan Grove (University of Oklahoma) dominated the Brockton Rox's batters, giving up one run and striking out seven.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks' Alex Lewis (Longwood University) was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. He doubled in the second inning, singled in the fifth and seventh innings, and homered in the ninth inning.

Joe King (Youngstown State University) was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
