The La Crosse Loggers (3-0) continued to pile up the runs on Thursday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-2 win over the Mankato MoonDogs (2-2) at Franklin Rogers Park.
The La Crosse Loggers scored three runs in the ninth on an RBI double by Bobby Juan and a two-run double by Tyler Kuresa.
Brandon Bednar racked up two RBIs on two hits for the La Crosse Loggers. He homered in the second inning and singled in the fourth innings.
Zach Wright put together a nice outing. Wright held the Mankato MoonDogs hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Craig Massoni led the Mankato MoonDogs' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Alex Gunn got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered six hits.
Patrick Goelz (0-1) took the loss for the Mankato MoonDogs. He allowed eight runs in 5 2/3 innings, walked two and struck out 11.
