Signed by the Wingnuts on July 13, Nading returns to Wichita after making 22 appearances earlier this year for Double-A San Antonio in the San Diego Padres organization. The righty went 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA for the Missions, locking down five saves. Nading was brilliant out of the Wingnuts bullpen in 2016, posting a 1.83 ERA in 40 relief outings, primarily working as the eighth inning setup man. Originally drafted in the 36th round of the 2006 draft out of East High School in Anchorage, Alaska by the Detroit Tigers, Nading elected to pitch collegiately rather than sign, and redshirted for one season at Oregon State before moving on to Skagit Valley Community College in Washington. After one season, Nading transferred to UNLV, where he pitched for two seasons. He was selected in the 37th round of the 2009 draft by the Texas Rangers, but once again elected not to sign. After one more season with the Rebels, the righty signed with the San Diego Padres as an undrafted free agent and played one season with the AZL Padres. After a season each in the Frontier and North American Baseball League, Nading pitched for the Ishikawa MillionStars in Japan's BC League in 2014.
