Williams was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 42nd round in 2010. He then played at Cal State Northridge in college. In 2012 he hit .258 with 6 homers and 25 RBI. In 2013, despite an injury, Williams tied for third best in the Big West with 8 homers. He missed over half the season that year.
He was selected in the 15th round of the 2013 MLB Draft to the Miami Marlins. He played a year of rookie ball for the Marlins followed by two stints with the New York-Penn league in the A (Short). In 2014 with the Batavia Muckdogs, he hit. 150 with a .271 OBP in 21 games. He had a home run and 6 RBI's. He was injured in the 2015 season for the Muckdogs and only played in one game.
Williams signed with the Birmingham Beavers in the USPBL, and is currently hitting .287 with 6 homers and 25 RBI. He has played in 30 games in the 2016 season.
