Luke Stratman returns to the Waterloo Bucks in 2016 after being named to the Northwoods League All-Star Team in 2015. The infielder finished second on the team with a .292 batting average and hit three home runs, 20 RBI, 25 runs and 10 stolen bases in 37 games last summer. Stratman transferred to Dallas Baptist University in 2016 after garnering First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors in 2015 at Lamar Community College. Stratman hit .256 with three home runs, 23 RBI and five stolen bases as a junior in 2016 at Dallas Baptist. The Morrison, Colo., native finished with a team-best .393 batting average, eight home runs, 49 RBI and 16 stolen bases last season. Stratman was a four-year letterman at D’Evelyn High School and was named the Colorado Class 4A Player of the Year as a senior. Stratman was also a two-time All-State selection in basketball and holds the career record for three-point field goals made in Colorado High School history.
