Baynun played in the 2012 Arizona Winter League. Played for the East Boston Knights of the Yawkey League, a Boston-based men’s league, in 2015.
2015- Baynun struggled with control, walking 20 batters with two strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings pitched. Allowed 22 hits with a 31.32 ERA, posting a 1-2 record in three starts.
2014- Compiled .200 batting average (3 for 15), scoring three runs and walking on. Struggled with control issues on the mound. Made four pitching appearances, one start and threw five innings, allowing seven hits.
2013- Led the TWL in pitching starts in 2013 with six, primarily throwing an ephus pitch and knuckleball. His ability to give his team, the Thunder, innings allowed manager Greg Tagert to rest his staff for the playoffs and take the 4-team single elimination championship playoffs.
In his annual participation in Curt Schilling’s 100-inning game for ALS in Quincy he went 11 for 25 and as a pitcher retired former Boston Red Sox star Lou Merloni.
2012- Hit .118 (4 for 34) in Arizona Winter League in 2012 with 2 RBIs, 2 runs, and one walk.
