Murray had 12 appearances and 6 starts for Kent State in 2016, recording a save and a 2-1 record. In 39 innings, Murray tossed 57 strikeouts. Murray had an impressive senior year at Dublin Coffman High School, going 8-1 and giving up just one earned run in 69 innings while tossing 97 strikeouts. He earned All-State, All-Region, All-District and All-Conference honors during his senior year, and was named Conference Player of the Year in the Ohio Capital Conference. Murray is the son of Bob and Lori Murray and majors in business management.
