Ozzie Canseco is the identical twin brother of Jose, the former MLB All-Star and second half of the Oakland Athletic’s famed “Bash Brothers”. Ozzie, 50, also appeared in 24 major league games with the St. Louis Cardinals and Athletics between 1990 and 1993. 


Ozzie appeared in over 1,000 minor league games, including several recent plate appearances for the Laredo Lemurs, Yuma Scorpions, Edinburg Roadrunners, and Brownsville Charros since 2010. In 19 minor league seasons, he collected 181 career home runs, and 647 RBI. 


Canseco currently holds the Atlantic League single season home run record with 48, which he achieved while playing for the Newark Bears in 2000. The Power hitter appeared in 61 games for the Duluth-Superior Dukes and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in 1998, posting a .307 batting average to go along with his 15 home runs.


Canseco previously served as Field Manager of the United League’s Edinburg Roadrunners and Brownsville Charros during the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
