BIOGRAPHY: Brian James Burress, 33 years old, born on April 8, 1981 in Oregon City, Oregon attended Sam Barlow High School where he was the 1999 Conference and Pitcher of the year. Burress went on to attend Mount Hood Community College.
PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS: Drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 31st round in 2000, the southpaw made his Major League debut with the Baltimore Orioles in 2006. On April 26th, Brian picked up the win, going eight innings, allowing just thtee hits...In April, 2008, Brian went 3-1, with a 2.49 ERA. In six seasons, Burres appeared in 106 games at the Major League level for three teams, including the Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays and Pittsburg Pirates.
2014 HIGHLIGHTS: Brian rejoins the Blue Crabs for the second straight season. He went 3-2 with a 1.64 ERA in nine starts last season. Brian picked up the win against Lancaster on May 18th, going six innings, allowing a run on six hits, and striking out seven batters. He earned his second straight victory on May 23rd against Somerset, going seven innings, allowing a run on five hits, and striking out five. Brian picked up his third win of the season on June 3rd against Camden, going seven innings. Brian was signed by the Colorado Rockies organization, assigned to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
