Merjano is in his second TWL season after using the 2014 campaign to springboard his pro career with the United League champion Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings.

2014: Was WhiteWings’ starting second baseman and compiled a .283 batting average in 63 games. Collected 11 doubles, two triples, and fanned only 26 times in 254 plate appearances. Named to the United League first team All-Stars and won defensive player of the year honors at Rio Grande Valley. Turned 31 double plays in 126 chances with six errors. Finished fifth in the UL in runs scored (43).

Led the 2014 TWL with a .556 on base percentage while finishing fourth with a .417 batting average, third in steals (14), second in walks (15) and runs (19) and sixth in hits (20).

Played at Cal State Monterey Bay, where he was named as the shortstop on the 2013 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association team after batting .295 for the season. 

As a Sophomore in 2011 at Sierra College: Led team to the Northern California Super Regionals after upsetting Chabot in Regionals…appeared in all but one game…batted .322 with 48 hits…had eight doubles, a triple and two home runs…registered 18 runs while driving in 20. As a Freshman in 2010 at Sierra College: Appeared in only 19 games for the Wolverines...batted .226 with 12 hits including three doubles…finished with 10 runs and 3 RBIs.
