Title: Pitching Coach
Birthday: Apr 3, 1987
Hometown: Manhattan, KS
Height: 6-1
Weight: 215 lbs

In his first year as Wingnuts pitching coach, Capra took over for Luke Robertson, who was the pitching coach for the franchise’s first nine seasons. Capra finished his five-year Wingnuts tenure with a club record 305 strikeouts, and entered 2017 with the second-most starts in franchise history (55), and ranked in the top five in wins (19) and innings pitched (294.1).

Capra first signed with Wichita in 2012 and has been with the Wingnuts ever since, minus a nine-start stint in Mexico in 2015. Capra returned to the Wingnuts for the 2016 season, a campaign that saw him miss about two months with injury. In his second start back from the DL, Capra picked up his 300th strikeout as a Wingnut in a no-decision against Kansas City on August 17.

Capra first came to Wichita in 2006, when he began a three-year career at Wichita State by posting a 1.76 ERA in each of his first two seasons. Following a 9-1 junior year, Capra was selected in the fourth round of the 2008 draft by Oakland.

The southpaw spent five years with the A's, climbing as high as Triple-A Sacramento. In nine professional seasons, Capra finished 42-50 with a 4.48 ERA and 809 strikeouts in 825.0 innings (8.8 K/9).
