Andrew Ferreira enters his first season with the ThunderBolts in 2014. It is his third season as a professional. He signed with Windy City on July 25, 2014. Andrew began his pro career in 2012, when he was a 32nd round draft pick of the Minnesota Twins. He spent two years in the Twins' organization, pitching in the rookie level Appalachian League, where he was 3-0 with a 2.32 ERA in 23 games. He began his independent baseball career with Trois-Rivieres of the Can-Am Association in 2014. Ferreira attended Harvard University, where he went a combined 3-7 with a 7.53 ERA over two years. He appeared in 21 games and struck out 43 batters in 31 innings. Prior to Harvard, he Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island.
