Simmons comes to the Lightning looking to continue to develop his already great pitching skills.  Simmons boasts a commanding fastball, great curveball and ability to work ahead of batters in the count.  Simmons will provide the Lightning with further depth to the pitching staff and his ability to keep the ball in the strike zone will prove vital to the Lightning as they move towards the playoffs.
