Battle joined the Revs on July 18 of last season, appearing in 42 games with York.  Of his 27 hits, nine went for extra bases, including the first inside-the-park home run in Revolution history, a three-run round-tripper on August 20 vs. Lancaster.  Among his other highlights, Battle ripped a walk-off double and drove in four runs in a game against Bridgeport four days earlier.  A third round pick of the New York Yankees in 2003, Battle spent six seasons in the Yankees organization.  His most productive season came in 2005 with Charleston, belting 16 home runs and stealing 40 bases.
