Flores spent last season with Grand Prairie AirHogs. It was his first year in the American Association.
Angel Flores played for the Bridgeport Bluefish in the Atlantic League in 2012, hitting .223 in 53 games. In 2011, Flores was with the Lancaster Barnstormers in the Atlantic League where he batted .311 in 40 games.
Originally drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 46th round of the 2003 draft out of Petra Corretser High School in Manati, Puerto Rico, Flores signed with the Detroit Tigers organization in 2005. He made it as high as Triple-A in the Tigers farm system in 2009 and 2010.
