T.J. is a New Jersey native who will be joining the SteepleCats for the summer after another successful season with the Monmouth Hawks.
As a high school baseball player at Ramapo High School, Hunt was a 2-time First Team All-League selection as well as a First Team All-Suburban, All-Area, All-Bergen County and All-State Group III.  After going 8-1 with a 1.98 ERA in his senior year, he was a finalist for New Jersey Player of the Year.  He joined the Monmouth University Hawks and went 1-0 in 11 games his freshman year.  In his sophomore season, he cut his ERA in half in 14 appearances.  This season he transferred to the starting rotation, finishing with 64.1 innings pitched, good enough for third on the team.  He went 6-5 with 2 complete games and 1 shutout.
Hunt’s ability to start and come out of the bullpen will make him a key piece of the SteepleCat pitching staff.
