This confident 6’4”, 220-pound left-handed pitcher is a freshman at Vanderbilt, a school with one of the best baseball programs in the country. Bowden comes from Lynn, Mass where he was the captain of the Lynn English High School baseball team for three years. From there, he was an All-Scholastic in the Boston Globe twice, a Lynn Item All-Star three times, and was named the 2013 Gatorade Player of the Year. He played for the Boston Astros and North East Rays in past summers. New to the Vanderbilt program, Bowden has pitched only two innings, making his debut in a collegiate league with two scoreless innings culminating in an era of 4.26.
