Robert Nixon has improved every season he’s played at Adelphi University and has spent the last two seasons as a weekend starter in the Northeast-10 Conference. He has demonstrated over three seasons that he is a dependable starter who can pitch late into games.

Nixon’s junior season was his best season to date. Nixon was named to the 2010 Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team after he went 9-2 with a 3.48 ERA. Nixon appeared in 13 games, made nine starts, hurled two complete games and struck out 55 batters while walking just 13 in 64 2/3 innings. He led his staff in wins, starts, and complete games.

As a sophomore in 2009 Nixon went 7-4 with a 2.41 ERA. That season he appeared in 16 games and made 11 starts, threw three complete games and struck out 70 batters in 78 1/3 innings of work. As a freshman in 2008 Nixon went 1-1 with a 6.85 ERA in 13 appearances and three starts.
