Right-hander Jeff Williams joins the AirHogs after a 2009 season that ended with a stint in the New York Yankees farm system.  In 13 games with the Class-A affiliate Charleston RiverDogs, Williams went 2-2 with a 3.66 ERA, notching three saves, before advancing to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre.  He appeared just once and but gave up zero runs on zero hits in a two-inning appearance.

Williams began 2009 with the Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League where he converted on 26 straight save opportunities dating back to 2008.  Traverse City's all-time saves leader, Williams was signed by the Yankees on July 21.

The 25-year old native of Castle Rock, CO played out his collegiate career with Colorado State University-Pueblo and was one of the top pitchers in the school’s history.  Having posted back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2005 and 2006, he was the only pitcher in school history posting two 10-win campaigns.  His 20 career wins is the fourth-highest win total in CSU-Pueblo history, and his career ERA of 3.70 is the fourth-lowest in school history.

Williams was signed by the Red Sox as an undrafted free agent in 2006 though he never appeared in their minor league system, joining Traverse City in 2007.
