Four-year varsity letterman in baseball and a two-year all-conference pick as a linemen on both offense and defense on the football team ... Finished his prep career as captain of both the football and baseball teams ... Won league championships with both teams, baseball in 2007 and football in 2008, making the state playoffs in each ...
