Powell returns to serve as the Pheasants’ backup catcher.  In his rookie season last year, he played parts of June and July with the Wichita Wingnuts and joined the Pheasants in August.  He was a combined 10-for-54 with three doubles and four RBI in 24 games.  Powell played collegiately at Gross Pointe Community College, Cal State Fullerton and Southern Nazarene University.
