Felix Cepeda joins the American Association after six seasons with the Boston Red Sox organization. In 2024, he reached AA, going 0-2 with a 5.57 ERA in 30 relief appearances for Portland. Cepeda pitched 42 innings, striking out 37 and walking 20. He also played in the Mexican Pacific Winter League, posting a 2-1 record with a 9.00 ERA. In 2023, Cepeda was invited to the Arizona Fall League, recording a 1-1 record in eight relief appearances. He began the season at A-level Salem, earning a midseason promotion to High A Greenville. Cepeda spent 2022 at Salem, posting a 3-4 record and a 6.20 ERA. In 2021, he played for the Rookie-level Red Sox in the Florida Complex League. Cepeda made his stateside debut in 2020 with the Gulf Coast League Red Sox. He signed with Boston in 2017 and debuted in the Dominican Republic.
