Zac Vooletich joined Sioux City during the first week of the 2024 season after impressing in spring training with Fargo-Moorhead. Signed on May 11, he quickly showcased his speed, stealing 24 bases in 73 games and finishing second in the league in stolen base percentage at 96%. His contributions helped Sioux City set a club record with 200 stolen bases.
Vooletich started the season with a five-game hitting streak and hit .239 with two home runs and 20 RBI. He delivered clutch performances, including a pinch-hit single driving in two runs on June 29 and the only run in a 1-0 extra-inning win on August 17.
Before joining Sioux City, Vooletich played in the MLB Draft League in 2023, hitting .287 with 13 RBI for State College. He previously played for Texas Tech, where he hit .388 and earned Gainesville All-Regional Team honors. In the summer of 2022, he competed in the California Collegiate League, hitting .345 with 13 stolen bases.
Vooletich played at Navarro College in 2021, hitting .372 with seven home runs and 45 RBI. He began his college career at New Mexico Junior College. Born in Houston, Texas, he grew up in San Antonio and played at Brandeis High School.
