A midseason acquisition of the Colts, Casillas started the season in spring training with the Washington WildThings of the Frontier League and then went to the Whitesands Pupfish of the Pecos League before making his way to San Angelo. With Whitesands, Casillas went 3-0 with a 1.31 ERA in 20.2 IP, 11H, 7BB, 34K. He played his college ball at Cal Lutheran University, where he threw a no-hitter his junior year.
