Iannazzo dominated on the bump this spring. He led all Panthers starters with eight wins and a 2.73 ERA. This marked the second straight season that Iannazzo has led the Panthers in ERA.  Iannazzo's 62 punch outs also ranked first on the Panthers. Matt threw five complete games and 102.1 innings. He issued just 22 walks in 2011.As a sophomore Iannazzo received All Big-East honors behind an 11-2 record a 3.76 ERA.In high school, Iannazzo struck out 171 batters in four seasons. He finished his career with a 1.71 ERA at Norwalk High School.Iannazzocollected many awards in high school includingCHSCA all-state, New Haven Register all-state, and Connecticut Post second team all-state.
