Wright brings two seasons of American Association experience to Cleburne, both with the Texas AirHogs. The right-hander had an excellent season with the AirHogs in 2018, going 4-2 with a 3.46 ERA over 33 games, all as a reliever. He picked up three saves, picking up 31 strikeouts over 39.0 innings of work.

The native of Cornelia, GA returned to the AirHogs in 2018, going 1-2 with a 7.82 ERA in 15 games, including three starts.

Wright played collegiately at Tallahassee Community College and later Houston Baptist, the same school as Railroaders Grant Buck and Zach Nehrir. He put together an excellent season as a senior, going 8-6 with a 3.09 ERA over 14 starts.

The 28-year-old signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks out of college, pitching for the D-Backs Low-A club in 2018.
