The Navs’ lone pitcher returning for a third full season, Gillette will look to build upon a strong summer of 2020 as he went 3-1 with a 3.07 ERA. He co-led the North Shore staff in victories, struck out 21 batters and limited opponents to a .168 average across a team-high 29.1 innings, the lowest qualifying mark in the team’s nine-year Futures League history.

Gillette pitched in prominently throughout his first three seasons at Merrimack, finishing second on the team with 10 relief appearances this spring. The Andover native and former three-sport captain in high school started four games -- and beat both Oral Roberts and Michigan State -- during the Warriors’ first Division 1 season in 2020.
